Hull Christmas Pageant

Today (13 December 2005) over 80 parents flocked into our theatre play area in our Hull nursery to see a Christmas pageant that involved all children up to 5 years of age.

Shirley and all the staff put a great deal of time and effort into organising the event. Staff have been working for months on the afternoon pageant that involved all age groups. We had a great deal of help and encouragement with parents coming in to help and support the charity element as well.

SPECIAL THANKS for all the great deal of time and effort that Shirley Rudd [left] put into this event. It would never have happened without all of her skill and drive. She put a great deal of effort in making costumes and driving us all along to ensure that this week (13th December) the pageant went ahead to the great delight of all the parents.

Thanks for all the parents who turned up (over 80 in our Kids Club theatre room), helped on the day and generally gave a great deal of positive feedback.

Various support was given including Karen Peart (Wold Fayre food service of HUll) who provided all of the refreshments. A change from the staff-picked charity this year was the request that Karen asked for the funds raised going to an animal charity which has been agreed.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE EXACT NAME OF THE CHARITY WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER AS WELL AS HOW MUCH HAS BEEN RAISED. WE WILL ALSO BE ANNOUNCING HOW MUCH WE RAISED AS WELL FOR CHILDREN IN NEED AS WELL AS THE CHARITY SUPPORTED BY OUR staff RE THE NEW YEAR: 2006.
