Bumble Bees
Hello from Kaz, Caroline, Hannah and all the Bumble Bees!
In the month of July our topic was “Under the Sea”. The children took part in activities including making a sea scene which involved us painting pictures of shells for the sea bottom, lots of different fish, sea horses and mermaids. We made a big poster board to display all their fantastic work.
At story time we talked about under the sea and also incorporated the flash cards.
In August our topic was “Summer Holidays”. Many of the children went abroad for their holidays experiencing travel on a plane.
We played “The Wheels on the Bus” going on holiday. Each child took turns in being the driver. This was using their imagination skills. On quiet time we drew a beach scene for our board with buckets, spades, sandcastles and boats.
In the month of September our topic will be “The Farmyard”.
The children will be learning about what animals are on farms and how they live. We will be doing a farmyard on the board with chickens, cows, goats, horses and a farm house; we will also use our farmyard toys and tractors.
We will be also doing Farmer Giles and his wife. Every day we do something different making it fun whilst learning all the time.
Love Kaz, Caroline, Hannah and all the Bumble Bees xx
BadgersHello from Adeyoin , Remi, Becky and all the Badgers!
We have had so much fun in July! Our topic was “Under the Sea”. The children were able to do different types of water play eg putting blue colouring in the water to look like the sea and we put different types of sea animals in which we made the children recognise the animals that live under the sea.
We also did an activity of how an ice lolly was made, introduction of changes e.g. liquid changing to solids and also the melting of solids into liquid.
We went on a trip to see Postman Pat at the Theatre which was really good and exciting.
In the month of August our topic was “Summer Holidays” the children were asked to bring in a postcard of the place they have been on holiday. Through this method the children were able to talk about their holidays which encouraged their self – esteem, listening skills and turn taking. Were we were able to put the holiday post cards on our display. We also did an activity of what we need to take with us when we are going on holiday – through these we extended the activity to a game called “find the odd object” that we do not need for a summer holiday.
The children did some paintings of the sun which made them recognise the colour yellow. We also did tie dyeing with yellow which helped the childrens imaginative skills.
We held a graduation party for the pre-school children that would be starting primary school in September. Please feel free to visit our page showing some of the photos we took.
For the month of September our topic is “On the Farm”. We have made a collage of different animals that live on the farm. We talked about where cheese, yoghurt, bacon and ham come from.
Bye for now!

Hello from Kids Club!
We have been doing a lot of fun activities and been on lots of trips during the summer holidays which have included going to a Chinese Supermarket where we bought some food to taste; we used chopsticks which was really fun to learn.
We have been doing a lot of painting and creative activities for the display board. These are just some of the fun filled things we have been doing. During the past couple of weeks we have had a pirate’s day where we got dressed up as pirates and took part in a treasure hunt. The trips we have been on included John Bull's Rock Factory, a trip to Little Monkeys and we also made a picnic to take to Queens Gardens. Looking forward to seeing you at the next half term. Bye for now x
Just a little note from Corrine
My partner Jason and I got married on June 25th which was a very enjoyable day seeing lots of my friends from Lilliput.
I am so pleased to be back. It is amazing to see how much the children have grown and progressed in their learning.
Hope to see you all soon.
