If you are feeling fit and would like to help raise some much needed funds for the charity KIDS, we are doing a sponsored walk across the Humber Bridge on Sunday May 22. All parents, children, family and friends welcome.
I am sure you will all agree the nursery is looking bright and cheerful with all your children's creative work.

Hello from Angie and all the Ducklings!
We would like to extend a warm welcome to our new member of staff Lauren who joined us after Christmas.
In the month of January we have been doing the topic "All About Me". All the children have a section of the display board with a little bit about themselves on it.
We are going to be making lovely cards for our mummies for Mother's Day.
Also we have Easter to celebrate and our new topic "Outer Space" Easter will no doubt be full of chocolate! For outer space we have lots of messy stuff planned to create our Solar System display,
Lastly we would like to welcome all of the new Ducklings with us. We hope your stay is an enjoyable one.
Bye for now!

Squirrels
Hello from Lisa, Caroline and all the Squirrels.
We have had lots of fun this month. The topic has been "Rhythm and Rhyme" we have really enjoyed learning lots of new nursery rhymes and lots of new songs. We also enjoyed making a big Humpty Dumpty display. The squirrels also really enjoyed making Valentines cards for Valentine's day which turned out really well.
For Mother's Day we are going to be making cards and also making paper flowers for our mums.
We are now looking forward to Easter where we will be doing lots of lovely messy activities.
Bye Bye for now!
Hello from Michelle, Janet and all the Bumble Bees!
Over the last few weeks we have done various projects "All about me".
The children have done the colour of their hair and eyes and their pets and all about food and colours. We even did lots of activities to put on our display boards or have been put in our files which can be looked at, at any time. We also made our own family trees.
The month of February brought us Chinese new year and Valentine's day which we had lots of fun with creative activities which were displayed around the nursery.
In March we will be learning all about Easter. We can't wait for all those Easter Eggs!
See you soon xxxx
Badgers
Hello from Adeyoin and all the Badgers!
This month in Badgers we did a lot of activities about ourselves because the topic was "All About Me" in which we were able to talk and watch the video of how people from the Ethnic Minority dresses which we made a display of. A boy named Ola from Yoruba speaking language from Nigeria (West-Africa) who dresses in his cultural outfit which the children really enjoyed. The activity promotes their language skills and understanding of the world.
We took part in Chinese New Year where we did some Chinese writing which encouraged the children to be aware of other people's religious beliefs.
We made moving little people by sticking metal under the puppet in which we use a magnet to move them to promote scientific understanding and to develop their imaginative skills.
We are now looking forward to more fun-filled activities with Easter and Mother's Day.
Bye for now from Adedoyin Adekanmbi and all the Badgers xxx
