Staff Awards

Staff, as usual, vote on other staff on the basis of team work, reliability, and effort on behalf of the nursery

Hessle staff award: Hessle staff voted this quarter for Christine Ashton, who has made a particularly strong contribution and is seen by staff as making a very good contribution to the nursery—not just recently but for many months previously. Christine is very motivated and has a very much "can-do" style of approach, which is very helpful to the nursery and to staff.

On behalf of all the Hessle staff and the directors of Lilliput Lodge, we join together and say CONGRATULATIONS!

Hull staff award: click to see a larger imageThis is the first one for Hull and so is particularly important. Hull goes from strength to strength, and staff voted for Dianne Boynton who also has taken a very strong, positive and dynamic approach, with a very positive attitude.

Once again: CONGRATULATIONS to Dianne!

It is worth pointing out that staff are encouraged to influence events in the nursery ie Hull nursery was very much designed by staff. All staff benefits cannot be changed unless staff are consulted and they vote on them etc. Our staff benefits are, for example:

  • Free Accident and Life Cover
  • Private Health scheme
  • Staff award and share option scheme

Some of our latest displays!

Some examples of designs done by our staff recently. These are changed regularly, in line with the seasons and the activities in the rooms as they change, and are linked in with OFSTED learning outcomes.

Open Day: 2 August

You are invited to our Open Day on Saturday, 2 August, at our Freetown Way, Hull, site, from 11 to 3.

We have planned visits from the police, fire engine and ambulance services, and there will be plenty to see and do - plus refreshments!

As usual, our nursery staff will decide which charity is to benefit, and this will be announced before the event.

Please do come, and see what we can offer. If you wish to use the visit to have a personal discussion about work and/or baby places, then contact Gill Smith [tel 01482 606645] beforehand.
