Lilliput Lodge News July 2003Salvation Army goes walkabout! ![]() Gemma Murphy, with staff and residents of Booth House Salvation Army in Louth, on the annual Louth walk, sponsored by Lilliput Lodge.
As usual, walkers were advised that the walk would be 6 Lincolnshire miles - that is, in Hull terms, 10 proper miles!
Some in front, some behind, and some out of sight!
Having a short rest - which we didn't have much time to do!
As always, the captain in charge - Joyce, and all of her team did a magnificent cooked early dinner, enjoyed by a total of 18 people, Special thanks to all on the resettlement team who put in a great deal of effort throughout the year to have a positive impact on all the residents. I am sure you will agree that supporting the Salvation Army and all that it does, in particular, in Hull, is a worthwhile cause and a small part of Lilliput Lodge being part of and contributing to the community. Special thanks to Gemma for managing the extended distance! Ray van Spall |
