Staff vote on staff for team work and contribution. There is also an award for the member of staff who has performed well over the year as a whole and this is the only one that is judged by Ann and Ray. The other staff awards are by and for staff only.

from left to right Carole Dobbs, General Manager, Linda O'Mara - the winner of the award for the Hull site, Hannah Bright - the winner for Hessle, Diane Boynton.
Linda has been with us six months and is a tremendous asset, working well with others in a confident and quiet way.
Hannah has worked with us before and we are very happy that she came back from travelling around the world and has made a great contribution to team work at Hessle, and in Hull as well.

From left to right Ann and Ray van Spall, Diane Boynton, Nursery Nurse of the Year and Carole Dobbs
It was felt that there was a need to reward and inspire the member of staff who has made a consistent and positive contribution over the year as a whole for the nursery and the children.
Diane won the award for all that she has done this year by Ann and Ray for the selfless way she manages our Hessle site: by showing, by doing, being always reliable, establishing good relationships with all staff on both sites and as well with parents.
Nothing is too much trouble for Diane and she goes out of her way in every sense and with all she comes into contact with.
As well as studying for further qualifications and recently completing a management course Diane is always willing to go to information and/or training courses that will give her even more understanding, and help her to improve. Diane's encouragement has made a great impact on the atmosphere and motivation of all that she comes into contact. A "can do" attitude just moves mountains and makes things happen as a result.
We cannot separate easily all that Diane does as she is keenly supported by her partner Les who we must also thank for many large and small contributions that he makes in many ways as well. All very helpful and friendly gestures.
On behalf of Ann and I we thank Diane and her friendly supporter Les for all she does for the children, parents and staff.
Well done !!!
Thank you from all of us.
