PRESS RELEASE:
Ray's Sponsored Walk for Charity - the practice "run"

Some photos of the walk that we did recently with the Salvation Army, taking some of our staff with us on a "short walk"! Ray - looking all kitted out until the rains came out and we were all nearly drowned. With me, Ann one of the senior project workers on the resettlement team who does an excellent job in sometimes difficult circumstances and they do work very well as a team.

  Other two photos show Kim, one of our staff, who "volunteered" to come on the walk and like all of us dreaded the bad weather.

  Thanks for all the residents who came and complained that it was an easy walk! You cannot please everyone but there were a very good and friendly bunch a pleasure to spend the day with them.

  Additional thanks to the Salvation Army, in Louth, who put on a great 3 course meal even though it disturbed their work and routine and more important their chef came in even though off sick just for our group.

Thanks for all for a good day despite the weather.

Additional update to 30 June event:

Ray has done some practice walks of up to 20 miles! as well as the 19 miles of the actual route.

We're still looking for sponsors - bearing in mind the Charity, Ray's old age, and also that this is the 9th anniversary of his heart bypass at Castle Hill Hospital...
