Ducklings News

Hello to all our new “Ducklings” who have just started with us and Goodbye to all the older Ducklings who have just taken a big step and moved into Squirrels.

We have had lots of fun since the last time we wrote. The weather has been so nice lately we have enjoyed playing in the garden, splashing in our paddling pool and having our tea under the gazebo, which was lots of fun. We have also done some paintings with our hands & feet, we got very messy. We now have photos up in the Ducklings Room of all the fun we have been having. Our summer fair also went very well, a really nice day and the weather was lovely too, we all enjoyed it.

We will write again soon……from…..Lauren, Chloe, Jenni, Kim & All the Ducklings! X

Squirrels

Hello to all our new Squirrels who have moved up from Ducklings & Goodbye to all the ones who have moved up to Bumblebees!

The squirrels have really been enjoying the good weather and playing outside a lot. We have really enjoyed doing lots of water play. We have been learning about Health, loving and taking care of ourselves, trying lots of different fruits, cleaning our teeth and washing ourselves.

At the moment we are learning all about the sea-side. The squirrels enjoyed trying the Ice lollies the most!!!

Bumble Bees

Bumblebees – Hello to all our new Bumblebees and Goodbye to all our older children who have moved up into Badgers!

We have been very busy bees these past few months. We have been learning new songs, Little Peter Rabbit had a fly upon his nose is one of our favourites. We have also learnt a new tidy up song, so we sing the song and Linda and Christina do the tidying up. Ha..Ha…Ha…! Our display boards are very colourful at the moment because we have been doing lots of painting on paper and ourselves.

Bye for now! Love - Christina, Linda and all the Bumble Bees xx

Badgers

Badgers – Hello from all the Badgers

The Badgers have been very busy this term. During the world cup we looked at flags from around the world, talking about shapes, colour and similarity. We also made our own flags using collage materials.

We have also looked at photos of animals in the wild as part of our “Rumble in the Jungle” theme! The Badgers have also made their own play dough and produced some lovely displays.

We wish all the Badgers who are leaving us to go to School the Best of Luck! & We hope you enjoy the rest of your Summer!

Becky, Caroline, Nikki & April x

Hello from Kids Club!

First & most importantly we would like to welcome our new friends to Kids Club!

We have had a busy summer holiday so far and have been on outings all over Hull.

We have been to Playzone and Big Fun, and Linda showed the children how to go down the Big slides! When we went Bowling the children beat the staff hands down! When we went to National Play Day in Queens Gardens, we had lots of fun ice-skating in the park and playing in cardboard castles, even though it poured down with rain!

Outside of Hull we have made our own pieces of rock at the John Bull Rock Factory, and played on the beach at Bridlington. So far our favourite thing is playing chase and climbing the rocks in East Park!

That’s all for now from all our friends at Kids Club, Linda & Elke. X

Also a BIG Thank You to all who donated & attended to the Summer Fair. It was a fantastic success, so a BIG Thank You once again from Ray & Ann Van Spall & All the Staff at Lilliput Lodge xxx

Please note – All our Books from Book Start have just arrived this week, for the benefit of all our children!
