Autumn/Winter 2006

Welcome to the Lilliput Lodge Newsletter, just to let you know what’s been happening around the nursery!

Ducklings News

Hello from all the Little Ducklings & Hannah, Sue & Claire.

We’ve had a very busy fun couple of months with most of the babies now crawling about and getting everywhere they’re not supposed to, like under the highchairs and behind the doors!

The Ducklings have also been very creative recently making a beautiful art gallery of all their work and doing lots of free painting and sticking, which usually means painting themselves rather than the paper! They’ve also been very musical playing on the piano, which they all love, and singing lots of songs and rhymes like “Row the Boat” and “This little piggy went to market”, which makes the babies smile & giggle lots. The Ducklings have also been doing lots of building with their favourite Winnie the Pooh blocks and stacking with the stacking cups & rings.

We’ve enjoyed lots of outdoor play with the recent heat wave and have cooled down indoors by splashing in water and sometimes sitting in it.

For the school-leavers the Ducklings have enjoyed taking part in some outdoor tea parties and dressing up in pyjamas and we even had a cute baby Superman! Linda’s 50th Birthday Party was really fun too!

Bye for now. Lots of Love from all the Ducklings, Hannah, Claire and Sue xx

Hello from Jo, Amanda & All The Squirrels

Welcome to all our new friends who are having lots of fun making new friends.

What a busy few months we have been having, we have supported our Football team: “England” by dressing up and decorating our room with England flags and Football themes, also dancing to Football songs!

We have been enjoying the hot weather as well, playing in the garden and splashing around in our Big Pool with Jo and Amanda.

We have also been very creative sticking, gluing, baking and making lots of beautiful pictures.

We have lots of fun with lots of birthdays coming up in August as well as a Pirate day!

Bye for Now, Love from All the Squirrels, Amanda & Jo xx

Bumble Bees & Badgers

Hello from Dianne, Leanne & Anita at Hessle

The Bumblebees & Badgers have been very, very busy lately doing lots of fun activities, it has been great fun playing around in our big paddling pool and squirting each other with the hose pipe, (even funnier squirting Leanne, and Diane).

We had football-crazy days and decorated our room for “England”, we all dressed in our England kits and sang football songs. “We can’t believe we didn’t win the World Cup with supporters like us”.

We have had picnics outside and one day we had to run in fast as it was thundering and lightning and Leanne was frightened!

We have had some brilliant parties for our friends who have left us to go to school and when it was Joshua’s birthday his mummy got a magician for us all to watch! He was very funny.

We are going to have a Pirate Party for Joseph when he leaves because he loves Pirates.

We have also had visits from the Fireman and the man from the Pet Shop who brought snakes, spiders & lizards in.

We sang songs at the Summer Fair, and helped raise money for “Make A Wish” and we would like to say a great BIG Thank You to everyone who came along, it was a super day!

Well that all our news for now, Bye ! Love from The Bumblebees & Badgers, Anita, Leanne & Dianne x
