Foundation/Pre-School/Nursery Leader

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

To lead and manage the 2-5 years room within a 95 place day setting.
To work alongside the General Manager ensuring the staff, students and volunteers are led and to meet the needs of the children, parents and carers in our childcare provision.
To work as a reliable and enthusiastic member of the Nursery Team across two sites.
To implement and maintain accurate records showing children’s achievements.
To work towards all relevant policies and procedures.

Experience required

Experience of teaching in a effective foundation stage setting, or
Experience as an early years practitioner in a day care setting, and
Experience of supporting children with special educational needs
Experience of building positive relationships with parents/carers

Qualifications

Qualified Teacher Status (0-8years) Or
Level 6 Qualification in Early Years and Early Years Professional Status

Knowledge

You will have in depth knowledge of the Foundation Stage Curriculum, Birth to Three Matters.
Developing knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage framework and its implementation in a day care setting.
Knowledge of observations, planning and assessment in the Early Years.
Knowledge of how to develop a high quality, inclusive learning environment where all children progress well.
Knowledge of equality and equal opportunities issues.
Knowledge of SE N Code of Practice.

Negotiable

Hours of Work

40 hrs between 7.15am-6.15pm, Monday to Friday
