Lilliput Lodge Day Nursery: Room Updates May 2007

Lilliput Lodge Day Nursery Room Update
May 2007

The Bumblebees/Badgers Room

This month has been a very special month for us. We have had visits from people that help us including a policeman and a dentist The policeman let us wear his handcuffs and he even let us go in his riot van! He put the siren on too, which was really noisy. The dentist lady was really kind too and let us dress up as a dentist and brush some really big teeth. She left some toothbrushes for our mummy’s and daddy’s to buy so we could leave them at the nursery and start brushing our teeth after our dinner because it is a good thing to do your teeth after eating, to keep them nice and clean.

We can’t wait to se what exciting things we are doing next month.

The Ducklings Room

May has been a very creative month for us. We have been making new labels for our name pegs, enjoyed doing lots of glitter pictures and having mad painting days doing our hand and foot prints.

We now know every Disney song form start to finish with Kim and Julia’s singing (no wonder it's rained a lot in May).

This month we welcome two new friends, Alison and Laura (who are students) and help out in the room. Both girls make great pasta shakers for us to make more noise.

We can’t wait until June so we can do our Daddy a Father's Day card (no messy time) yippee!

Squirrels Room

Firstly we would like to welcome all the children that have recently joined the Squirrels Room. We love having them come and play with us, and they have been having fun whilst getting to know everyone.

We would also like to say a big thank you to all the parents who have bought our buns, and have helped raise money for the Squirrels camera fund. Our own camera for our own room will help us take more photos of the children and capture those precious moments of the children playing, developing and learning.

We would also like to say a big thank you to Ray and Anne for buying us some lower table and chairs. This has helped us get more involved in creative activities, such as sticking and gluing and play dough making, as well as it being safer for us.

We have enjoyed celebrating Lilliput’s 5th Birthday with a party as well as saying Happy 2nd Birthday to Thomas and Hannah! We will miss you when you move to Bumblebees but we know you will have fun.

That’s all for now, more news next time.
