If you are interested in joining a course, see below for details. Please note that our own training function is part of and separate from our Hull Nursery, so we can see items in practice on site, as well as look at other nurseries and our other local Nursery in Hessle (time and numbers permitting).

PARTNERSHIPS IN NURSERIES

In addition to working with others in setting up nurseries the following has also been asked for as well:

One-off recruitment and selection
For those not qualified as the “suitable person “ as required by OFSTED as the manager of the nursery, please contact us to assist with the recruitment and selection of your manager. This can cover advertising, carrying out interviews and assessments, shortlisting and final recruitment.
Consultancy
We can offer half and full days consultancy service to assist you with various issues of personnel and general help. Or we can offer annual telephone help with general nursery/personnel matters.
Nursery Partnerships
We are willing to look at developing links and partnerships with private and public schools or builders etc to offer nursery facilities with and/or part of a general project.

NVQ Training

We are able to train our own staff to NVQ Levels 2 and 3, adding NVQ Level 4 from April. We may be able to subsidise course fees.

We are also looking to train people to this level who are not yet in employment (ie who are trainees), and we can possibly assist with work experience.

Working with Schools

We are working with schools on extended programmes to ensure that pupils who come to us on a weekly basis achieve a better understanding of the work environment. If the pupils are interested in working in a nursery, the grounding would be of value to achieving (much better than for others of the same age) the entrance criteria of the NVQ Level 2. The overall benefits to personal and shared self-esteem we are told are very high as well.

We would be interested in joint ventures of this nature with other schools and in exploring the possibilities of providing these skills and services on-site in schools.
